Favorite Disney Movies, Volume 1.

My childhood heavily consisted of the Disney classics, and yes I still love them.  I have no shame.  When you think about it though, how weird would these movies be if they weren't cartoons?

The Lion King is at least in my top 3.  It's pretty heavy for a children's movie since the main plot consists of a brother murdering his sibling as well as the attempted manslaughter of his nephew.  Not to mention the hyenas devouring the villain in the end.  My children will love this movie, otherwise we're going to have problems.

I hate mice..but I love these ones!  Bianca and Bernard are part of the Rescue Aid Society, which is a group of mice who help children in trouble.  In this movie, the mice help save an orphan named Penny from the complete bitch and her two pet alligators with whom she lives with in a strange boat house on a swamp.  The woman forces Penny to go down in a creepy cave in order to find a very valuable jewel on a daily basis.  Why couldn't these mice come into my room instead of the disgusting kind who only visit in search of food?

Snow White is my favorite Disney princess!  In this movie, Snow White is forced to run away from the castle she lives in with her wicked step-mother, who is trying to have her killed in order to be the fairest in the land.  (Disney movies always have some kind of felony involved).  Snow White befriends the animals in the forest as well as seven dwarves who's home she breaks into and cleans.  All is going well until the queen discovers that Snow White is actually alive; she then turns herself into an ugly old hag and tricks Snow White into eating a poisoned apple.  In the end, a kiss from Prince Charming awakens her and of course, they live happily ever after.

Want a woman to fall in love with you?  Imprison her and be a complete dick.  At least, that's what happens at first in this movie, until the beast learns to be a better person.

Snow Patrol favorites.

Places I Want To Go

Paris is top on my list, and to be even more specific, the eiffel tower.  I'm not exactly sure why I'm so obsessed with either, but it seems like such a lovely place.  I love the idea of classy romance, crossiant eating, accents, and cute french outfits.

Las Vegas.  That place just screams sin and fun, and really, how could you go wrong with a place like that?  I think you should experience it at least once in your lifetime.  Growing up in a place that is so bare of life, I think that going somewhere that is the complete opposite of that would be such an exhilarating experience.

New York City.  Again, a completely different world than I have ever experienced, and being from the state of New York, you have to at least go there once!  I'd love to go to Rockafeller Center during Christmas time.  Not to mention the Eiffel Tower, Times Sqaure, and all of the stores!

Things that make me smile.

Michael Scott :)

Go figure that I found out about this from The Office.

Favorite Things, Volume 2.

Drinking this shit when I'm working third shift makes me feel like I can take on the world.  Red bull, I don't know what I'd do without you.

Spedie salad from Little Italy's.  This picture should say it all.

While Christmas shopping with Eric, we went to Macy's to check out perfumes and colognes.  I'm really picky about perfumes, and it's kind of hard for me to find one I actually really dig.  I picked up this one courtesy of Taylor Swift, already judging that it'd be nothing special since she made it, but surprisingly I fell in love at first sniff.  Thank you loving boyfriend for buying me the gift set!

Red, red wine.  <3

I never knew I liked rum until Eric had me drink some with him.  I drank this kind via shots on New Year's Eve (might I mention it was the best New Year's Eve ever?).

I tried so many times to like sushi, and I never really understood why people made such a huge deal about it.  Until I realized that you were supposed to eat it with wasabi and ginger.  I wouldn't think it'd change things that much..I thought wrong.

Favorite Childhood Movies.

Little Nemo's Adventures In Slumberland.

Double Double Toil and Trouble.

Hocus Pocus.

The Land Before Time.

Wish Upon A Star.

Halloweentown.

The Parent Trap.

Smart House.  I wanted that house so bad!

Phanton of the Megaplex.

Once Upon A Forest.

The 90s, Volume 2.

I was so into the T.Y. Beanie Baby craze!  I actually still have a bunch of them.  Too bad I never owned any that could have actually made me some cash money back in the day.

I'm still a little upset that I never got to be on this show.  Three teams would first answer grocery related questions to earn time for the last round.  In the last round, one member of the team would race through the store to pick up groceries that would, in the end, lead to the highest grocery bill.  Diapers, meats, and batteries were among the top favorites to grab.

Figure It Out was a show on Nickelodeon in which cast members from different Nickelodeon shows would try to guess what the secret talent of the contestant was by asking them questions that could only be answered by a yes or no.  Usually it was something really fucking weird.  How I wished I could have gotten slimed though!

Scratch n' sniff stickers.  Enough said.

I remember getting these for Christmas.  They didn't exactly compare to my doll Jenny (RIP) who would wet her pants, and I'm not sure wtf is up with their hair, but I remember being psyched to get them.

I loved the Berenstain Bears books.  I was constantly reading, and these were at the top of my reading list.

I don't even want to know how many times I took these books out of the library, because the number would probably disgust me.  I do remember one of my favorite stories was Harold, about a creepy scarecrow who comes to life and ends up killing and peeling the flesh off of one of the men who made him.

The 90s, Volume 1.

Let's start with not only one of my favorite series in elementary school, but my favorite book in that series.  I was forever taking these out of the library!

Who didn't love The Spice Girls in the 90s?  I was probably their number one fan.  I owned the barbies, the movies, books, and taped anything Spice Girl related to come on TV on the VCR.  I don't think I've ever played a cassette tape so much.  Holla to Ginger!, who was my very favorite.

Goosebumps.  Not only did I love those books, but I loved the show based on the books.  Fox kids was where it was at.

Barbie was my life.  This is not an understatement.  Besides books and playing teacher, barbie took up at the very least half of my childhood life.

American Girl was the shit.  Not only did they have those books, but their catalog sold dolls based on the girls from the books with matching accessories.  They also sold dolls made to look like you, and baby dolls that came in different ethnicities, down to the choice of eye and hair color.  I owned one of those, and it actually makes me kind of sad that I don't know whatever happened to mine.

Juice bar perfume.  I remember a fragrance called teddy bear, and it smelled sooo good!  Why do they not still sell this?

Charlotte's Web.  Not only my favorite book of all time, but I will still gladly watch that movie.  I owned it on VHS and gladly abused that tape.

Discovery Zone was fucking awesome.  I only had the priveledge of going there a couple of times, and for some reason they got rid of the one in Vestal.  That place had this huge black slide as well as a kickass maze type thing that started at the ground and went up to the ceiling with a bridge going across the top leading to the other side.  No kid went into that place sad.

Favorite Things, Volume 1.

First on the list is nail polish.  More specifically, black polish.  Or dark plum.  My nails are never without polish and those are by far my faves!

Stilletos.  Oh, how I love them so.  They're a semi-new obsession of mine, now that I feel confident enough walking in them to do it in public.  These btw are one of the two pairs that I own.  I promise that number is only temporary.

Oh how I miss the older Degrassi's.  Now, I admit that I'm not as much of a fan since the characters have all changed and it's gotten to be completely ridiculous, but there was a time when I was a die hard fan.  I'd be lying if I said I didn't still love the old seasons!

My favorite drinks ever?  Lemonade and raspberry lemonade.

Hot wings.  Celery.  Blue cheese.  One of my absolute favorite foods hands down.  I don't even care that it's entirely messy.  Isn't that half the fun?

The only magazine I care enough to subscribe to.  I swear they read my mind on a monthly basis and write some of those pages just for me.

How I love The Office.  Not only is it absolutely hilarious, but I'm such a sucker for Jim and Pam!

I'm officially inked!

In honor of my upcoming 21st birthday, my boyfriend went above and beyond and got me the best present in my short history of birthdays!  Not only that, but it was an experience we'll remember forever.  I'm officially inked!

After much thought, I had settled on this verse: There is no fear in love.  It caught my eye when I first read it, so of course, being my typical self, I researched it to figure out what exactly it meant.  This is my conclusion; Fear is a debilitating state of mind.  It not only adds limits to your life, but holds you back from doing things you want to do.  Love on the other hand is the most selfless and beautiful of feelings.  If you're in real, true, love with someone or are as equally in love with and passionate about something, there should be no doubts about it.  Nothing should hold you back from pursuing that.  To truly be fully in love with someone, there can be no doubts, no fear, no limits on your love.  I further fell in love with the verse after looking into its meaning, and after looking at countless pictures of tattoos, I decided I really wanted it to go vertically down my spine, mostly courtesy of a picture I saw of Mrs. Beckham.

Eric decided that he wanted "Any weapon formed against me shall not prosper" on his ribs, which I instantly fell in love with.  What a sick verse!

On February 2, we went to Colortech Tattoo with the intentions of making an appointment for a later date for our tattoos.  Surprisingly, after sharing our tattoo desires with the man sitting at the front desk, he informed us that they'd have enough time that day to fit us in if we wanted to do that.  At that moment, I think I shit my pants out of fear..and excitement of course.  I've been waiting, oh, just about forever to get a tattoo, but actually being so close to getting one was making me beyond nervous!  I'd tried to prepare myself by watching endless youtube videos in the hopes of gaging the level of pain based on other's facials, and by asking endless questions to those I know who have been inked already.  Nobody's answers satisfied me, so I sat there looking through a font book more than a little nervous and anxious.

At first I chose a pretty cursive type font, but I'm not really sure what I was thinking because I chose to get the verse going down my spine.  This wouldn't make any sense with a cursive lettering since the letters are not meant to stand alone, so the man at the front desk deterred me from this font and I went through the book again.  Eric and I ended up liking the same font, so we spoke with our artist and then left to have lunch at Nirchi's while she drew up our tattoos.  Btw, we had the dankest, fresh out of the oven pizza that day!

When we returned like half an hour later, after waiting a few minutes in the front, our artist, otherwise known as Tracey, told us to come back and since I volunteered to go first, she had me straddle the tattoo chair with my back to her.  As I was sitting there, shirtless, I started sweating so profusely!  I was beyond nervous and anxious and scared that it'd hurt.  I took Eric's hand, and after shaving the area, she started.  Much to my surprise, it really didn't even hurt, and I ultimately enjoyed the experience.  The only part that really made me cringe was when she got to the top.

Too bad Eric's wasn't as painless!
